  Positive memories as a JW child..

  it is based on gorbatsjov's good topic, but we all must have had nice, pleasant, romantic moments in our congregations.. i was always a dedicated boy, baptized at 14. we had our bookstudy at 8:00 pm and before that our fieldservice at 7:00 pm .

  most of times, as a 14-16 years old boy i was the only one there with our conductor.

  he was from aruba, immigrated to our cold and wet european country.

  Being in congregation with just one other person my age I had a very good friend who was not part of the borg. One summer he call me on the phone to come over when i got to his house his mom, sister and him gave me a surprise birthday party. That was a happy childhood memory for me being trap in the cult.   I Got Very Stange JW Doorknocker Yesterday

  i had an ex-jw uncle of mine visiting me yesterday from another part of the country.

  i usually only ever see him at weddings and funerals but we keep in touch on facebook.

  we were catching up in my place with his wife when about an hour into the visit there's a knock on my door, this was about 4pm.. strange... the only people who ever knock without calling me first are the postman and my ex-wife.. i open the door and it's a face i recognize from my last congregation.

  On the front page of the local newspaper in large letters "NEVER YIELD". After introductions by local director of the Jackson center a stage production of "The Faithful Do Not Yield" which depit the decades of oppression surffered by Jehovah's Witnesses in America. The article goes on to say:The lecture series was a collaborative effort with the Jackson Center and the Watchtower Society, It was part of ongoing series "Canaries in The Coal Mine of Human Rights". Next day the keynote speaker:" was Philip Brimley, General counsel for Jehovah Witnesses, World Headquarters Offices.

  A friend of ours was there and told me the hall was filled by local JW's. She was surprise by so many witnesses there. I told her there is 4 congregations in Jamestown alone as will as several others in surrounding towns. She had no idea and she thought there was no congregations in this town. She has lived here almost all her 89 years of life. One lady who was sitting next to my friend was telling her how she was once a Catholic and was so happy she was a Jw's now. I am thinking about sending a letter to the opinion page of our local newspaper about jw facts. Any ideas what to say? Still Totally ADD

  Son I Don't think he would listen for he is also part of the borg. I am sure there will be a big article on this event in the local newspaper. This may be my opportunity to write a rebuttal and bring out the JW facts site. Still Totally ADD

  smiddy3 I don't think so. Justice Robert Jackson is a home grown hero for this town. There is a building called Robert H. Jackson Center in his honor. They have all kinds of events there every year. I think because it has been 75 years since the Supreme court ruled on the right not to salute the flag and Justice Jackson case a deciding vote on this case this event came about. But to have a wt. lawyer and the 2 women who were part of it as children here for this event, to me and I don't know if this true smells of a proporganda event for the borg. There are 4 congregations in this town plus many others that are a short drive to Jamestown. My question is should I just sit on my thumbs while this event takes place or have a organised protest outside the building? I feel this event will be pack with jw's so what an be done?   On Oct. 15 Jamestown NY will be having what I call a pretty large 3 day event on Jehovah Witnesses Canaries in the coal mine of human rights:Seventy five years after West Virginia vs. Barnett. This was the Supreme court case on the pledge of the allegiance which the wt. won. It will be taking place at the Robert H. Jackson Center in Jamestown. Justice Jackson was homegrown in this town. If that was not big enough Philip Brumley who is general counsel for the wt. will be giving a lecture during this event followed by a round table conversation with Marie Barnett Snodgrass and Louise Blanton about their experience during the 1930's and 1940's. Finally there will be a 15 min. Play called "The faithful do not yield".

  The center holds about 300 people. I can see every jw in this area will be there. To me it seems to be a big propaganda fest for the borg. After all why would a lawyer for the borg and the two women who were pawns in this case be here for this event? All I can say is how do we get the word out on this cult and the sex abuse cases taking place. I feel I can't do this alone. So I am asking for help or ideas on what to do. Thank you for your help.   Will Jehovah’s Witness be discouraged from watching any tv at all soon?

  i know it sounds kinda stupid and dramatic, but lately there’s been a lot of suggestive content about not watching tv.

  the broadcast was telling people that watching tv snares you into getting an attachment to characters, (the one where the crazy sister prayed for a tv character).

  and today this watchtower telling people that the only news that should be watching, or even interested in watching is the broadcast or on jw.org news room.

  According to my youngest son who is in his mid-30's told me tv is not watch very much by young ones. It all about their i-phones. TV was the big deal for baby boomers this generations is all about i-phones. The wt. has no control over that no atter how hard they try. Still Totally ADD

  Russia=King of the North, USA=King of the South? New info coming in from Annual Meeting 2018

  it was announced in this year’s annual meeting that they believe that the king of the north is russia and the king of the south is us/britain.

  for me this is the first time hearing from the society actually identifying the identity of the king of the north.

  All I know is I spent half my life at book studies studying this crap of the king of the North and the king of the South. We are special because we have knowledge no one else has. Let's all take a deep breath and then say to ourselves "It's a Cult!" Still Totally ADD
